October 4, 2011 Board Meeting Agenda Item #27 Title APPROVAL TO AWARD BID #12-0149 FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL SCIENCE CLASSROOM FURNITURE Description Bids to provide 'Middle School Science Classroom Furniture' were received from seven vendors on August 24, 2011.  The bids of Contrax Group, LLC, and Fleetwood Group were the best low bids meeting the advertised specifications.  Reasons for not selecting the apparent low bid are included with the bid tabulation.  This bid is for a period of one year with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods.  The funds for these purchases are contained in grant monies allocated for the project. Recommendation That the bids of Contrax Group, LLC, and Fleetwood Group, to provide 'Middle School Science Classroom Furniture' in an amount not to exceed $105,000, be approved for award and purchase.
